Adam Barton

Adam spends his time breathing down the necks of editors, tinkering with new content ideas and, when provoked, will step into the ring as a director who can take a project the full 12 rounds. He came to NYC right from Wesleyan University in the early aughts, and has been staying mostly out of trouble in Brooklyn and LA ever since. Early film breakthroughs include editing two Oscar nominated short HBO documentaries and co-producing the SXSW Audience Award winner Kumaré. Since then he’s directed and produced projects for some channels (History, Nat Geo, Esquire, Epix, PBS, & Fullscreen), and led commercial projects for some brands (CapitalOne, Dell, Coca-Cola, Budweiser, Chase, MSG, The Global Citizen Festival) all while working on his jump shot, carving up fresh powder and taking abstract photos all over the globe.

Sam Bathrick

Sam Bathrick began his career as a refugee caseworker in West Africa, interviewing survivors of war, an experience that would ignite his passion for bringing tough but true stories to light. He fell in love with New York while producing “Run For Your Life”, a biopic doc about the enigmatic founder of the NYC Marathon. He then spent some wild years chasing musicians through the streets of cities like Tokyo, Istanbul and Miami directing the PBS/BBC travel series “Music Voyager.” He’s since directed two award-winning feature documentaries “200 Miles” and “16 Bars” , both exploring the human condition under challenging extremes. As an EP at Resonant Pictures, Sam has produced commercials for brands like Delta Airlines, Google, and Adidas and feature films like “The Surrogate” and “Election Day: Lens Across America.”  Sam brings an editor’s ear and an auditor’s eye to the creative process, while striving to tell stories that allow viewers to see the world lucidly and with compassion.

Alex Cullen

Alex is a nerd with a decent fashion sense and a compulsion to create that many have described as “obsessive.” Among his many obsessions, directing and cinematography top the list. His breakout in NYC was directing the viral commercial “Love” for Honey Maid, a bold collaboration with the ad agency Droga5 that turned hate speech against the brand into a message of inclusiveness. Since then, he’s made his mark in NYC with an eye for dramatic lighting and bold frames, creating work for clients like Jameson Irish Whiskey, Pandora Radio, The New York Times, and Adidas. His documentary work can be seen on channels like Epix, Viceland, and Al Jazeera. It is probably worth mentioning here that his first feature doc “Fair Chase,” which you can watch on Netflix, was about a bunch of elite athletes running through the desert in pursuit of an elusive antelope. Come to think of it, this is a perfect metaphor for Alex’s life and career. Easily the least predictable member of the Resonant team, Alex is often heard trying to convince his business partners to go white water rafting on a Tuesday and he’s been known to wear costumes to parties where it wasn’t required or requested.

Dana Ferguson

Dana Deveaux (Dana J. Ferguson) is an experienced literary ghostwriter and home cook who finds true bliss sifting through the messy middle of all things related to film production…and cake batter.

She earned her LLB Law degree with Honors and even won her first (and only) case before determining her skills were better suited for the arts. An award-winning actor and producer in film and theatre, Dana has worked in Europe, East Asia, North America and the Caribbean. She is passionate about championing thought-provoking stories of extraordinary people in everyday surroundings. Whether in front of, or behind the lens, her body of work reflects the sweet and savory slices of life that comprise the complex richness of the human condition.

POST PRODUCTION MANAGER

Peter Blas

A native New Yorker, Peter’s first professional foray in the film industry was making popcorn at the Angelika Film Center. After a brief stint at film school in Boston, he returned to his home city, and entered the post production-end of the reality TV world, working on shows for VH1, Logo, and documentaries on Discovery and The History Channel. Over the years, he’s edited everything from a puppet-based educational series tackling gender norms & intersectionality, to short-form docs highlighting our planet’s precious dwindling resources for The Nature Conservancy. At Resonant, Peter oversees post production workflows and an award-winning moustache.

OFFICE + STUDIO MANAGER

Ethan Darla

Raised between Abu Dhabi and Mumbai, and now claiming Atlanta as home, Ethan Darla is a global nomad, foodie, and guitarist. Though childless, he’s quick with an array of dad jokes he might tell you in any of the 6 languages he speaks (on a good day).

After years of working in the Coffee industry, he co-founded a coffee roasting company and is definitely disappointed in whatever brown thing you just poured almond milk over. At Resonant, Ethan manages our Atlanta film / photo Studio and administers crew payroll, bringing compassion and creativity to the company’s operations.
